Park Rules

  • Park rules and regulations will be installed and visible to all visitors and participants. They are to help assure that riders of all ability levels have a safe and positive experience.
 

WARNING!  TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 75, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE) LIMITS THE LIABILITY OF A GOVERNMENTAL UNIT FOR DAMAGES ARISING DIRECTLY FROM HOCKEY, IN-LINE HOCKEY, SKATING, IN-LINE SKATING, ROLLER- SKATING, SKATEBOARDING, ROLLER-BLADING, PAINTBALL USE, OR SOAP BOX DERBY USE ON PREMISES THAT THE GOVERNMENTAL UNIT OWNS, OPERATES, OR MAINTAINS FOR THAT PURPOSE.

  1. Human powered bikes and scooters only, including BMX freestyle bikes (with covered pegs)
  2. Know your abilities and use the facility at your own Exercise common sense and general courtesy to others. Be alert. Flying objects and bodies are not uncommon. Spectators should watch from the spectator area or outside the fence for safety.
  3. All riders are required to wear Protective equipment (kneepads, elbow pads and wrist guards) is strongly recommended.
  4. Motorized vehicles are prohibited in the bike park
  5. Children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent or authorized adult.
  6. Indecent or abusive language, or any activity, which creates a public nuisance is prohibited.
  7. The bike park is closed during wet conditions.
  8. No food or refreshments are allowed on non-pedestrian surfaces.
  9. Help keep your bike park clean by using trash cans.
  10. Graffiti or defacement of this facility is prohibited.
  11. Personal ramps or modifications of the track are prohibited.
  12. Tobacco, alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited.
  13. Glass containers are prohibited.
  14. Animals are prohibited.
  15. Weapons are prohibited.
  16. Solicitation of fees, donations or bike lessons and training is prohibited without approval of Houston Development Corp.
  17. Video production or drone operation is prohibited without approval of Houston Development Corp.
  18. All riders and patrons must follow North Houston District staff directions.

Rule violators will be asked to leave the bike park. Refusal to leave may result in charges for trespass.
